Type Of Chocolate - some useful information

Source from Wikipedia: Chocolate is a range of products derived from cocoa, mixed with fat (cocoa butter and/or plant oils) and finely powdered sugar to produce a solid confection. There are several types of chocolates such as:

• Chocolate Truffle (image below taken from Wikipedia)

A chocolate truffle is a type of chocolate confectionery, traditionally made with a chocolate ganache coated in chocolate or cocoa powder. Image above is taken from Wikipedia.

• Couverture Choclate (Grade A)

Couverture chocolate is a very high quality chocolate that contains extra cocoa butter (32-39%). The higher percentage of cocoa butter, combined with proper tempering, gives the chocolate more sheen, firmer "snap" when broken and a creamy mellow flavour. Image above is a sample of chocolate from couverture.

3. Compound Chocolate (Grade B)

Compound chocolate is a less-expensive non chocolate product replacement made from a combination of cocoa, vegetable fat and sweeteners. It may also be known as "compound coating" or a chocolatey coating. Image above is a sample of chocolate from compound type filled with almond and nut.

4. Dark Chocolate

Also called "plain chocolate" or "black chocolate", is produced by adding fat and sugar to cocoa. Dark in colour with zero or much less milk then milk chocolate.

For my homemade chocolate, I usually used cocoa product made in Malaysia.

Edible Oreo, Flowers Oreo and 2 IN 1 Chocolate

Hi all, below is my latest homemade chocolate which I made it as a gift for my brother in law who's going to do a "Majlis Aqiqah" for his daughter. A part from that, I also do a few edible Oreo chocolate for my kids as below. I had to make 2 type of edible oreo which is for girl (princess theme) and for the boys (mickey mouse). All of them finished eating it within a day..

Below is the Flowers Oreo (2 layer of Oreo) in variety of colors.


After a while, I manage to make about 30-40 Oreo chocolate.. yeahuu..!!


More picture of Oreo Chocolate..for this type, if anyone wants to order, the price is RM2.00/each (with the packaging). If order is above 40, there are special discount.

This is a double flowers in one packed, or I called it 2IN1 chocolate. Price is about RM2.20/each, can give discount if order more than 40.

Engagement Choc

Here is some picture taken of my order for the engagement ceremony. Her theme was pink and white so I made up the heart chocolate in pink color and square chocolate in white color with a text word of "SELAMAT BTUNANG". Hope she likes it and "Selamat Bertunang" to her.

Homemade Chocolate Garden Theme, Daisy and Oreo

Hi all, below is the latest order from my teacher (Teacher Ain aka Ibu Qaisara). She sub-con the order to me as the customer wants a lots of chocolate for the Mahad Tahfiz school. So I managed to do about 130 pieces (all garden theme). We can compromise on the price if order is more than 50 pieces.
